The wheels and trucks on this board are fucking awesome. The bracelet's cool too, but the board rocks...or it will when I get into the city to an indoor skate park. Thanks.
It happens that I drive a van into New York City almost every weekend (and the weekends I do not someone else drives instead). And I am certain that someone, mostly likely Kyle or Jubilee, would know where one would be.
One of the excellent things about living at the mansion is the diversity of people one can get to know, and the diversity of people -they- know. I find that no matter what the situation and subject, there is almost always someone who knows -someone- with knowledge of the subject.
I know you drive a van. I can also take the train and shit. It's not like there's only one way to get into the city. The city I'm actually from and have been skating in for like seven years. I don't really need other people to tell me where the skate parks are, but thanks.
I see it is now appropriate to inform you that I crafted your skate board. I read that Canadian maple is customary however I also used a thin steel shank to reinforce it. I hope that liberty is acceptable.
The bracelet is a kara. It is worn outside the Sikh tradition to represent the totality of God but I do not believe God is being used in the sense it would be here. To the Sikh kara are also a reminder of their obligation to only act righteously and they train to use them as knuckle dusters for self defense.
You were totally my guess. The steel is a cool idea 'cause the deck.will eventually snap. The other board I've got is probably close. I dunno how it'll change skating though. I mean, it's thin but it'll make it heavier so tricks might be harder but if I can figure it out then it's all good. Might need to be strictly a street skating board. Which is all good I'd it is.
Sikh is the uh spiritual path thing you follow, right? What's a knuckle duster? I like the obligation to act righteously thing though. I'm wearing it now actually.
I am not Sikh but they are a large segment of Indian society and I was thus required to be familiar with their beliefs and practices. I subscribe to those which I feel are correct but I am not properly initiated, nor will I be.
A knuckle duster is something used to protect an individual's knuckles when they punch. Kara are iron or steel but America had brass knuckles. They are similar.
Oh, right. Sorry, people's religious or spiritual or whatever beliefs are hard to follow sometimes, you know? And I don't really know anything about the Sikh. Or like anything not Christian or catholic I guess.
Really? Seems weird to use a bracelet like brass knuckles. Do you know how to use kara as knuckle dusters?
I do. As a gurukkal in Kalari Payat, I was often invited to other temples to share and learn. The kara supports the palm while keeping the target struck off the knuckles to prevent cuts. I believe their design to be superior to brass knuckles.
Kyle's already teaching me to throw a punch right and how to like bruise the fuck outta my hand with heavy bag drills so I don't think they will? I'll ask someone after they're all sober after new year's to be sure.
It should be less bruising more just contact aching if I'm doing it right and if you're bruising we need to get you better bag gloves. Just sayin, tell me in detail next time. Bag work shouldn't mess up your hands too much unless we're not protecting them enough or I'm doing a really pants job at teaching you to throw a punch.
Sometimes someone looks at me wrong and I bruise. But it's not like it turns into a bruise until like the morning. Usually my hands are just sorta pink or whatever. But I'll try to remember to tell you and we can figure out if I'm fucking it up or if it's the gloves. Probably totally me.
The short answer is that I was trying to help get rid of the dinosaur. The longer answer is that I was totally not doing what I was supposed to (running away) and got myself hurt trying to take out a dinosaur I thought was gonna eat people.
Dude! Who the fuck sits there and goes "Hey, there is a big ass extinct reptile maybe trying to eat things! Lemme go try to take his three thousand pound out ass 'cause I am so that much of a badass!"? Seriously dude? I hope there was like, mandatory head shrinking for you after that.
No, no, no. I like my version where it's totally an acid trip way better. 'Cause the other option is that there are fucking dinosaurs eating your fingers and just...no.
